China Futures Association (CFA)
CFA, founded on December 29, 2000, is registered and headquartered in Beijing. It is a nationwide self-regulatory legal person as a non-profit social organization engaged in securities sector incorporated according to Regulations of Social Organization Registration and Management under the instruction, supervision and administration of CSRC and Ministry of Civil Affairs of PRC.
中国期货业协会成立于2000年12月29日，注册地和常设机构设在北京。期货业协会是根据《社会团体登记管理条例》设立的全国期货行业自律性组织，是非营利性的社会团体法人，接受中国证监会和国家民政部的业务指导和监督管理。
CFA is committed to enforcing the government laws/regulations and futures market policies, acting as the bridge between the government and the futures market, exercising self-discipline management, safeguarding the legal rights of members, maintaining the open, fair and equal principles of the futures market, carrying out the ethic education, professional training and management to futures professionals, and boost regulated, sound and steady development of China’s futures market.
中国期货业协会的宗旨是：贯彻执行国家法律法规和国家有关期货市场的方针政策，发挥政府与行业之间的桥梁和纽带作用，实行行业自律管理，维护会员的合法权益，维护期货市场的公开、公平、公正原则，开展对期货从业人员的职业道德教育、专业技术培训和严格管理，促进中国期货市场规范、健康、稳定地发展。
CSA members consist of the entity members from futures brokerages, special members from the futures exchanges and the individual members certified by the futures professional qualification certificate of CFA. By the end of December 2002, there had been 190 entity members including 3 futures exchanges and 187 futures brokerages. The membership congress is held in every 3 years as the supreme power organ of CFA. The council is the standing power body during the absence of the membership congress and reporting to the congress.
中国期货业协会会员由以期货经纪机构为主的团体会员、期货交易所特别会员和取得协会颁发的期货从业人员资格证书并执业的个人会员组成。截至2002年12月底，协会共有团体会员190家，包括3家期货交易所、187家期货经纪公司。会员大会是协会的最高权力机构，每三年举行一次。理事会是会员大会闭会期间的常设权力机构，对会员大会负责。
